Hi, my name is Ashley Williams, and I am the owner of Bridge of Hope Therapy, PLLC. I am a licensed Speech Language Pathologist that has been providing quality therapy to typical and atypical children from birth to young adulthood. During this time, I have worked closely with Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist and ABA which has provided me with more insight on the child as a ‘whole’.
A little background:
I am a devoted Christian, wife, and mother of 2 wonderful girls, Layla (9 y/o) and Sophia (3y/o).
As a therapist, I have always shown empathy while working with my families, however, God has a special way of ensuring that the empathy blooms from first-hand experience. Layla was diagnosed at the age of 2 with anxiety but as a mom, I knew there was something more. I had clinical experience, knew all the tricks but I couldn’t help my own child. I contacted several trusted individuals, including experts, to get their opinions; each one assured me that my concerns were unnecessary.
I often felt alone and asked God why things were so difficult, but clarity came with time. At the age of 7, she was formally diagnosed with ADHD- combined type with Impulsivity.
The experience with Layla gave me a new perspective, as both a professional and a parent, I have come to understand the unique challenges families face when searching for support and answers for their children. These experiences have shaped my perspective and deepened my empathy for every parent seeking help.
God has led me to open Bridge of Hope Therapy. I strive to serve as a bridge for families, offering support and understanding to parents and unwavering, quality therapy to their child.
